Golden Age Alnico 5 Single-coil Pickups

#5420 is more than expected, 5421 is good ,not so bad, 5423 is not good .I like #5420 .

I bought a Hot Golden Age single coil to put in my Squier Strat, and it sounds fabulous. It's louder, rounder, and more sparkling (you know what I mean!) than the stock pickups, and it sounds more like a Strat than ever. It was way less expensive than similar quality pickups from other makers, and it arrived ready to drop in the guitar with all the necessary accessories like screws, springs, and an extra cover (one black, one white).

I know 45 greenbacks is a lot at the end of the month, but when you consider the easy, huge improvement to your sound, it's actually an incredible bargain.

overall, very good pickups, can rival any duncan or fender custom shop in my opinion. solid make, smooth design. i like the cloth wires, adds to the authenticity (plus braided wire is easier to solder) im very pleased in general. very quiet for single coils, but theres still some buzz. im amazed with the service, they arrrived on a weekend when i ordered the thursday before. NOTE: the white cover is VERY white, and didnt match the parchment pickguard, so i just swapped out the cover for the original fender stock cover and it works just fine

Exactly what you'd expect from the description. They just simply sound great. No complaints here.

I have recently purchased and installed 5423 HOT for neck or bridge position on a Fender Squire Stratocaster (Korean)and I am amazed with the sound response compared to the originally pickup

I bought these pick-up's for a Chinese made electric guitar that I had since I was 14. After some lengthy modification to it, I added these Golden Age p/u's and could not believe that it was the same guitar. These are a beautiful addition to any electric guitar. Vintage tone for a vintage price! Buy them.....NOW!!!

This is good choice if you want to change your stock pickups!

I have installed these in many of my customer's instruments, as well as having a complete set in my personal Strat. These are nicely built and have a great vintage tone. (Think 60's strat) Additionally, they are as quiet as any others out there. Good product.

My project was to build a one piece swamp ash stratalike,with as much authentic vintage vibe as possible. Using golden age pickups was the right choice. I wired the thing up, ala dan armstrongs ``invisible switch`` for infinite tonal choice,with a treble bleed in circuit,as shown on dan erlewine`s video: how to wire a strat. RESULT ,it's a tone swampthing. I could not be a happier man,these are truly awesome sounding pickups. Many thanks to the stewmac team.
