Vibramate Spoiler

Love it. It probably added days of productivity to my life span. One thing, i think it works way better when the bigsby has the roller to keep the break angle over the bridge correct.....

The Spoiler is smaller than the pin spacing on the guitar i have fitted it to, so two outer pins are outside the Spoiler. It is far easier to string than the 'old Bigsby way', but with string tension on only 4-pins, only time will tell whether the Bigsby is adversely affected by using the Spoiler. Be aware of this before you buy and make an informed decision on whether to fit.

Why didn't someone think of this years ago? changing strings on a Bigsby has to be one of the worst jobs ever. the vibramate string spoiler is maybe the best innovation to come along for guitars equipped with this traditional tremolo. Fairly simple to install on most guitars, but, because of the angle of the string pins on my DeArmond MT75, I had to actually remove the trem to attach the spoiler. this may not be the case on other guitars. but still, no big deal. it took minutes to do and now changing strings is a breeze. I cannot tell any effect that it has had on tone or sustain. I can now replace broken stings in seconds instead of minutes and I am not inspired to create new obscenities while struggling to do so. If you have a guitar with a Bigsby, this is for YOU.

I put one of these on a B5 about a year ago. All I can say is wow, what a difference! Changing strings is so easy I no longer dread the chore- I always avoided Bigsbys in new guitars because of the PITA string changes. If you have the "meat locker hardware" this is a must have.
No apparent change in tone.
