No complaints here. They mount and line up just right and the inner gears feel great and don't slip like other cheap economy tuners. Good product.
These were an exact replacement for an older MIK Squire Strat. They look the same, and the mounting holes are correct. They were less expensive than other replacements, and appear to be well-made.
Perfectly functional and great for a cheap guitar repair or build. They scratch easy..
I've tried several varieties of economy tuners and like these the best. They are exactly what the catalog says, good replacements for low-end guitars, where your primary interest is just playability, not restoration. On most older guitars, though, you will need to enlarge the post holes, so once you put these on you can't go back to vintage-style three-on-a-plate replacements.

I purchased these for my grandsons mini electric that I got from goodwill and decided to upgrade the tuners, specifically because one was missing. Installation was a snap and they hold tune like a dream. Thanks, Stewmac, for offering such great deals.
No, these aren't high-end tuners, but are an effective and inexpensive fix/upgrade for older instruments with broken, bent, or sloppy open gear pegs. I put a 6IL set on a '68 Silvertone with great results, and have a 3+3 set on order now, for an early-70's Lyle. They'll fit 1/4" holes without drilling or reaming, though ferrules may not fit - in which case, leave the originals in place. For the price, a solid deal.
They are what they are. Great price but you get what you pay for.
These machine heads are very cheaply made but are fine for a lesser model (inexpensive) guitar inwhich they were installed upon. However, they are not suitable for higher end guitars, with these I would recommend high quality machine heads.... Remember, you get what you pay for.... kcbuck Granbury, TX
