When buying a Tele control plate, DO NOT assume they are all identical. The specs differ HUGELY! I am currently building a Warmoth Tele and will be installing a ToneShaper unit in it. The ToneShaper is essentially a PC board with the standard 2 vol & tone pots, 4-way selector switch, 3 dip switch banks and a bus for all the wiring. The 2 pots are mounted directly onto the PC board so this essentially hard wires them at precise fixed positions. Due to this, the control plate's pot holes needs to be in the exact corresponding locations (2.475" C2C Fender spec). I purchased a gold 3rd party Tele control plated on eBay, but as you'd expect, it DON'T fit! The StewMac Salesperson was kind enough to go measure their #0132-G control plate while I was on the phone. He says it should fit the spec I told him. Oh, and BTW... their #0132 is a Gotoh brand plate.
Will use this plate again! Nice hardware!
The plate is too thin, half as much as the Gotoh Modern Bridge is. It makes a bit of discrepancy between the two of then. It would be nice if Stewmac started to provide some varieties on these products, such as Schaller and Gotoh control plates so you could have the option for a better part. Bought this one since it was the only option.
Great accent for my build
fit my tele and that what matters !
Great quality product. Very pleased with stewmac as always
Black coating is inferior quality, discoloration throughout. Very ugly and cheaply made.
Great product, great quality
Will be building a guitar and i have a plate lying around but it has the smaller holes, didn't really want to drill them out to the correct size so i decided to just buy another one with correct holes.
Good and acceptable material thickness, good gloss, compatible with standard telecaster .. Recommended
