Gotoh Standard Bass Bridge

First of all, the service is great. Within a week this bridge was mounted on my bass guitar... in the Netherlands! It has more weight than my previous bridge so my sound has become more stable. A pure tone with more sustain. One small critical point: I rather had the 4 adjustment screws from the two middle saddles, as short as the others. They're too long when playing with palm mute. Still I'm very satisfied.

This is the best bass bridge at this price (or any price) that I have ever used. Ole' Leo got this one so right, and Gotoh made it better. Buy three for an even better deal!

Just perfect... exellent quality and price

I've used the Gotoh 201 bridge, which is slightly beefier than this one and costs about twice as much, with good results. I was initially worried about using this bridge because it only has tracks for the set screws on the high G and low E string. I was worried that this bridge wouldn't be stable and would be plagued with the buzzes and instability that afflict the usual vintage-style bridges.

However, I was pleasantly surprised. This bridge seems every bit as stable and quiet as the more expensive Gotohs, but with a little less mass and and a vintage profile. Definitely improvement over most cheap vintage style bridges, and a very good bridge for a good price.

I dropped one of these Gotoh bridges onto a Mexican P-Bass, and WOW! What a difference! More lows, more highs, which I didn't expect, and more sustain. A much fuller tone all around, like what I would expect from a much more expensive bass. The Gotoh bridge really brought the Mexican P-Bass to life. I highly recommend it!

I must admit I was surprised by this bridge. I was replacing the original bridge on a lowest-end Squier P-Bass. I did not want to spend the big bucks and go with a hi-tech bridge. I wanted something solid and dependable. Well, this bridge fit the bill! Made of heavier materials than the original bridges, and it is more solidly adhered to the bass with two extra screws (yes, you will need to drill two little holes).

Very easy to adjust, as well. As I also added a bone nut to replace the plastic one, this bass is now very solid, with extremely improved sustain quality. I am very pleased with this purchase, and believe I shall appreciate it for years to come.

I swapped out the stock bridge on my Squier 77 jazz for a Gotoh bridge, and what an amazing difference in tone, note quality, and sustain.

The stock bridge wasn't bad, but this inexpensive yet solid piece of chromed rolled steel woke the bass right up; the new clarity is really amazing. The replacement was direct--but make sure your string spacings are in line with the Gotoh you choose (mine is a Gotoh 201) because its string spacing isn't adjustable. Also check to make sure screw hole alignment is what you want, especially if you want a direct replacement with no drilling.

Great value, and a huge improvement over the stock bridge! Highly recommended.
