Because they conform to any surface shape, they're great for polishing contoured guitar finishes, frets, plastic pickguards, pearl inlays and more. The first samples we received were jealously hoarded in our shops, quickly becoming favorites for polishing nuts and saddles, and for touchups in lacquer finishes.

Sold individually or SAVE $1.00 when you purchase the set of all six grits.

"Indispensable for polishing bone and pearl nuts. They leave a gorgeous luster with no dark residue in porous bone."
—Don MacRostie, Red Diamond Mandolins

Each sheet is coated on one side with micron-graded particles of aluminum oxide (1200-8000 grit) or silicon carbide (400-600 grit), on an extremely flexible non-woven .007" synthetic backing.

The pattern coating won't clog quickly. They leave no dark residue in porous bone nuts and saddles. The durable tear-resistant sheet washes easily in water.

Each sheet is a generous 9" x 11" (228.6mm x 279.4mm).

"The most versatile abrasive in my shop."
—Erick Coleman

"Lasts a long time, and so flexible you can buff shoeshine-style!"
—Dan Erlewine

What the pros use

I have yet to use these on a guitar related project, but I work with fiber optics and this is what we use to polish aerobic connectors, so it's no joke when they say this stuff polishes to a mirror shine. I'm sure it will work brilliantly on my guitars.

A nice touch

Quality 3M product. I usually go to 3000 grit, then to rubbing compound, not anymore, 4000, to 8000 3M micron paper with water and dishsoap does the trick. Polish/buff and I'm happy

Finished doing a neck with tru oil and used the 600 between coats and the 1200 and 4000 to buff and polish it to a slick smooth perfect feeling neck..

Simply Amazing!

These make polishing Frets a breeze. Excellent for finish repair jobs. I am going to try and post a picture of a Birdseye Maple Fret Board that’s frets were polished and a divot in the board repaired with these. A must have.

Save some time and effort and use these.

Much faster than other polishing papers, you can use them wet or dry for just about anything. Great stuff.

Perfect small area polishers

Great on fixing dings but you have to start with course and work up to fine, without polishing media (do not skip steps). I cut smaller strips and find this is quite handy for smaller areas and neck work.
