Some guitars may require peghole modification. See our specs. We recommend the #2062 reamer for flawless bushing installation.

Note: These bushings will not fit the large pegholes required by Grover, Schaller, Gotoh and similar enclosed guitar tuners that have threaded bushings. See our 3/8" Conversion Tuner Bushings for these tuners.

Vintage Style Bushing

I used these as replacements and all I had to do was ream the hole just a tad. They sure enhanced the look. Loved how the headstock looks with these bushings.

Vintage Tuner Bushings

The bushings worked great. I thought they were a little tight, but it didn't take much scraping or cleaning the sockets to get a proper fit. I had one of the Stu Mac reamers that worked well.

These bushings have splines full length and would make good replacements for the Martin Vintage re-issue models. The ones I've seen had just a short spline near the top and many of them are loose enough to fall out when the string tension is off. Like when you are changing a string on the back of the stage in poor lighting and, well, you can guess the rest.
