Replacing tuner knobs is a simple repair, we recommend these instructions to guide you.

Color-matching Cream Parts and Bindings
There have always been slight variations in the color of the cream plastic parts used on Gibson and other guitars. It's not uncommon to see brand new and vintage guitars with bindings, pickup rings, toggle switch rings and pickguards that don't perfectly match in color. We do our best to match all our cream products, but there's no absolute control from batch to batch, or from supplier to supplier.

Not what I expected

These buttons were smaller and flimsier than I expected, and not a good match for the existing vintage knobs. I ended up ordering buttons from another company instead.

Tuner knobs for 1950 Martin Tiple

Ivoroid tuner knobs were used to replace rotting knobs. They needed to be drilled out to a snug heat-fit and have installed easily. The instrument is now back to normal, probably better than new! Thanks!

Not what I hoped for

Out the three items I ordered these Tuner knobs were the most eagerly anticipated. I assumed that the holes would match up with the tuning posts but that dont. Im not a luthier, but I really wanted to repair my classical guitar, so I dont have to use needle nose pliers to tune the G string.

It's exactly what I needed for the right price.

My wife's guitar that she inherited from her aunt had recently fallen and one of the brittle almost bakelite knobs broke off. Needless to say the sentimental value of the guitar far exceeded the price of the replacement or shipping but it wasn't until I found Stew Mac that I could just buy the one I needed. Thanks Guys!

Good look

I used them to repair old italian guitar. Although they need some work they fit well and look fine.

Tuner Knobs

I have not installed the knobs yet. The selection and service from Stewart McDonald was excellent and I would not hesitate to order from them in the future.

Nice Product

I purchased the ivoroid tuner knobs for my Gibson LG1 acoustic and they are a nice upgrade. The tuners had to be drilled out a bit and glued with epoxy to tightly fit the shafts but other than that they are well worth the purchase.

Hi-quality/EZ to install

I followed your on-line instructions for installing these tuner buttons. (Although I used a gas torch to heat the tuner stems) The material softened with moderate stem-heating and they seated themselves perfectly.
Customer is very pleased with the appearance and function.
