Under the direction of StewMac's Don MacRostie, renowned mandolin maker, we've brought back classic features of tuning machines from the pre-World War II era.

The look of the old, the reliability of the new. The look is more authentic than ever, but close-tolerance specifications, nylon worm bearings, and 15:1 gear ratio make Golden Age tuners smoother and more efficient than vintage machines ever were. Two optional relic finishes duplicate that "well-played" patina that makes most other modern tuners look johnny-come-lately on a vintage or reproduction instrument. The distinctive Loar-shape steel baseplates even have the same footprint and engraving as 1920s originals.
The details are 1920s too: • Old-style string post shape • Square worm gear support posts • Straight-slot worm gear screws • Roundhead straight-slot mounting screws • Removable black or ivoroid knobs with vintage shape
Each set includes 4-left / 4-right tuners with mounting screws and press-fit peghead bushings.
