These tuners are THE BEST I have ever used. I cannot overstate this point. I will put these tuners on every guitar I buy from now on.

There are a lot of locking tuners out there but these have a very well constructed and designed feel to them. The auto trim feature means I no longer need wire cutters to change the strings. Changing strings goes faster than it ever has with these tuners. They don't slip and they hold tune longer than any tuner I have ever used.

The best part about these tuners is the high gear ratio, 18:1. These tuners give you high precision tuning. Even on old stretched out strings it's still easy to get and keep your guitar in tune.

my locking tuners have too short pins. So I can easily pull out the e- and b-string with two fingers.
Tuning up these two strings are pulled out.
This is only the case with the 6-in-line, my 3L/3R are ok.

I bought and installed these about 4 years ago. I also use Sperzel and Schaller and I have come to like these the best. They are still very smooth and accurate after all this time. I've been playing and repairing, (out of necessity at first) since the early 70's so I have some experience with this stuff.

These tuners are my favorite ones on electric guitar. Pay attention on the fact that are a little heavier than standard tuners so if you install them on an hollow-body the guitar will not be balanced. In this case I use the grover locking tuners

I have used these tuners on 5 of my own guitars, as well as recommending and installing on many customer guitars. I used to prefer Sperzels, but these are so much better that there is no comparison. I would never recommend Sperzels again. The PW tuners have a higher (more precise) tuning ratio, a larger and more comfortable thumbscrew (the Sperzels are like a serrated razor blade!), and better quality finishes. The string cutters are just icing.

I have to say these machines perform exactly as advertised. I used them as a direct replacement for the stock tuners on my Epi Les Paul - not only does the guitar stay in tune better (much!) but the tone is more focused. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade!

I use them exclusively on my guitars, and have also replaced the tuners on over a dozen guitars with these. They perform as well as the Sperzels I used previously, and have the added bonus of cutting the excess string off. Excellent tuners, highly recommended.
