Grover Roto-Grip Mini Locking Guitar Machines

Very sturdy and precise tuning gear. I think it's one of the better tuning machines out there.

These are the best replacement tuning machines. They are VERY easy to install for any head stock with 10mm machine holes. I switched to these because I encountered quality control problems with the Sperzels I used to use - especially with threads on either the bushings or the tuning machine itself. The Grover machine's dog ear for the set screw makes it easy to pre-fit and align the tuners. Use a straight edge to align them, tighten the bushing and then drill the small hole for the set screw--much easier than having to use the template to locate and drill the hole for the Sperzel nib. These also have a better ratio for more accurate tuning.

I love these. The work amazingly well. The thumbscrew lock mechanism is excellent. The quality is top notch!

Purchased the chrome version, and am very impressed with the quality. Tuning seems to be very stable, as long as the peg heads are tightened securely. Very easy to mount, given that these have 3 little prongs that will press into the guitar's wood to locate when securing screw holes need to be drilled.

They are very solid, provide a nice weight to the headstock.

I put these on a Strat and they work. One of them fell apart the first time I used it but they seem to be fine now. I will always go for Sperzels from this point on.

A breeze to install, use and string up, and the 18:1 ratio makes for easy tuning. Very pleased.

These tuners are fantastic! I purchased these and installed on my Franken Steinocaster as replacements for the Sperzel Locking tuners that were installed previously. No comparison whatsoever. If you are currently using Sperzels, replace them immediately with these, they are so much better it's ridiculous. The Sperzels are 12:1, these Grovers are 18:1,you figure it out.

The ability to fine tune with these is so much better. This is the single best mod I have done to any of my Guitars. I have non-locking Grovers on one of my other guitars and they are great too. I will use Grover's exclusively on all my guitars and in all recommendations I make to my clients.
