Gotoh Vintage Oval Knob Tuners

Excellent tuners, tight, positive tuning and great looks. Used them on a custom Tele build and a lap steel, and they performed greatly to my satisfaction.

These were a good price and I think they look great.

I read one of the earlier reviewers had trouble with breaking the screws that come with them. You have either drilled the wrong sized hole or are over-torqueing the screws. Using a small screw driver, like a mini driver will prevent over-torqueing.

I'm happy with the tuners, I think they look great, turn smoothly, stable tuning.

I like very much, it´s strong and precise, and has a beautiful shape!!!

These Gotoh tuners are a very good replacement for Kluson tuners used on older MSA PSG's. The only modification I had to make was to enlarge the tuners mounting hole's with a #30 drill bit for clearance.

I've just loaded a set of these onto my 1979 Rickenbacker 330. Perfect fit. In fact I left the old sleeves in place and used the original fixing screws. No-one will ever spot the upgrade. Perfect solution, thank you.

These tuners are physically identical and mechanically superior the the legendary originals they are intended to replace. I've used them on several custom-builds, and I've even used them to replace the "innards" of defective originals by swapping out the back cover. If your original covers can be salvaged (get out the metal polish and your Dremel tool), this is an excellent method to retain an all-original appearance on your instrument while upgrading the performance.

I installed these Gotoh tuners in my Samick Les Pal copy which is essentially an Epiphone Les Paul. Prior to the replacement I couldn't keep my guitar in tune. After every solo I would need to re-tune. A complete turn around after installing these tuners, They were easy to install (exact hole placement as the tuners I was replacing) and now my guitar stays in tune. Relatively inexpensive and they work great! Highly recommended.

I have a les paul jr custom shop w/a single humbucker. It came w/gibson vintage oval knob tuners in which the ratio sucks!Installed these and wow what a change. I like the oval heads better than the others because I have big hands and they work better for me.
