Golden Age Restoration Tuners

I've probably put 15 or 20 sets of these on the Gibson L-0, L-1 and Nick Lucas replicas I build. If you're after an authentic look, they can't be beat. The quality, however, leaves much to be desired. I've yet to install a set that didn't have anywhere from 1/8 to 1/4 turn of backlash on at least one of the posts. I continue to offer them to customers for whom an authentic look is more important than playability, but if you want a tuner that works properly at a decent price you're much better off with something like a Grover StaTite.

I put these tuners for my relic'd prototype copy. Nice look and smooth work that provides fine tuning.

I put these tuners on a 1930's Gibson copy i made for personal use. I found the tuners to be good quality with no/hardly any 'give' and no slip. With a look and feel of something from decades past, I like them (I have also used the engraved plate version for slotted headstock with the same results [but at double the price...])~Beau Hannam Guitars~

Tuner shafts fit nice, screw holes not spaced exactly like the original vintage tuners, but not a problem to adapt. Tuners are smoother and better geared than the originals, but look like the old ones, have an aged look. Tuner gears mesh well with just a little slack in one, but minimal and not an issue. Great price to make my 1933 L-00 look original and function well.

This is the second set of these that I have put on guitars. None of my customers can even tell the difference between the originals!

Absolutely authentic, except they're made better than the originals. I use these as my standard tuner on the Gibson L-0 and L-1 copies that I make and I rarely get a request to substitute anything else. I've used 15 or 20 sets and never had a problem.

Great improvement over the stock tuners I had on my Harmony. Worth the investment.

I have put 2 sets of these tuners on old guitars, a Kay and a Silvertone. They fit the holes fine, although the screwholes don't line up.

They add a nice vintage look to restorations and definitely work better than the originals!

I bought these tuners for a late 30's Silvertone Archtop. They fit perfectly, and even the screw holes matched up. They look like they came on the guitar from the factory. Also work much better and hold tune much better than originals. It's about time someone came up with this type of item.
