I bought these because a guitar I was repairing had three busted tuning heads and I got them in just in time and they work very smooth. Only problem was I needed to make another hole because the sizing wasn't right, but that was an easy fix.
I love the Schaller M-6 Tuners.The fine German Craftsmanship is great. They stay in tune perfectly.I test ran them on a Epiphone Junior L.P.and will use them on some future projects. Thanks Stewmac. Jim
These are very nice machine heads which came stock on a guitar I bought recently. There is one thing which get me, though. . . The guitar itself was quite old and obviously forgotten about in some closet or attic, but the finish on the machine heads suffered a bit - they feel a bit 'grainy' and not so smooth anymore. I wasn't really expecting this with Schaller - all of the Schaller hardware on the guitar - all of it 'gold' - has suffered this same problem. But even after 20+ years, they still stay in tune very well - still absolutely smooth-turning.
