Still the best after all these years

I needed some bass tuners for a 1977 original Fender Precision blond fretless neck that I've had for about 25 years. I put the original tuners on another bass I put together a few years ago and wanted to buy tuners that did not need any holes plugged and re-drilled. I was holding my breath but these Schaller elephant ear bass tuners went right on the neck using all the existing holes from the original set of 1977 Fender tuners. It took about 10 minutes to add the new tuners and strings. They have a very precision weight and feel to them. I'm very happy with my instrument. I made a great choice with these tuners. Excellent tuners. Used them to upgrade my Squier Jazz Bass. They didn't fit perfectly, but I made it work by using the original Squier bushings. They where a bit too big and I had to slant them a wee bit, the top tuner is still a tiny bit outside the head. But thats not Schallers fault. The tuners have a great finish, and is really smooth with no noticeable play. Great tuners!!

The Schaller Bass Machine Tuners were used to upgrade a bass guitar project. They were tight with minimal back lash in the gears. The bushings fit tight, the tuning was excellent, They have a great feel when you are tuning. A great upgrade for anyone with a china made bass with worn, or loose tuners of this model. They are serious high end tuners. Worth the money,will use again.

Easy install and works perfectly for many years, because Made in Germany not China.
