A standard router base tilts as it rests on the body of an acoustic guitar or archtop instrument. The bindings won't fit correctly into a ledge routed this way. Our TrueChannel jig turns your laminate router into a floating cutter for perfectly squared binding ledges, regardless of the angle or curvature of the instrument surface. As you move the body of the instrument into the cutter, your router glides vertically on smooth rollers to follow the body's upper edge. The bindings will fit correctly — no need to scrape them too thin.
