This saw cuts on the pull stroke, to help reduce blade flexing in hard fingerboard woods, lessen the chances of the blade jamming in the slot, and give you smoother, more controlled cutting.
The corrosion-resistant 10" Sheffield steel blade has .023" width of cut, to match our fretwire.
Our fret saw also features adjustment for any fret slot depth: the clear acrylic guide slides up or down to expose the desired amount of blade (as deep as 1/4"). The guide is removable for cutting off the ends of a blank fingerboard.
Cutting perfect 90 degree slots are guaranteed when using our saw with the Fret Slotting Miter Box. You'll never miscalculate your fret positions when you have a Fret Scale Template a locked into the Miter Box.
Need help calculating your fret locations? Our online fret position calculator can calculate any scale length you want to use. It will also give you accurate measurements for locating the bridge on your instrument.
