FretBender
If you bend 21 frets by hand, at a reasonable 45 seconds each, that's 16 minutes. The FretBender will perfectly radius those frets, in three 24" lengths, in just 16 SECONDS!
The FretBender is our variation of an idea by repairman Randy Stockwell. It eliminates tedious, inaccurate hand-bending of fretwire and gives much better results on arched fretboards. Simply insert the inverted wire, turn the crank, and the wire emerges with a constant curvature.

1. Bolt the tool to the edge of your workbench. The FretBender has a crank-operated grooved brass guide roller, an entry roller on the left side, and an adjustable exit roller on the right side.
2. Insert the fretwire UPSIDE-DOWN (tang upward) between the entry and guide rollers, as shown in the photo. Feed the tang of the wire into the groove in the guide roller. The groove accepts large or small fretwire tang sizes.
3. Turn the crank to continue feeding the fretwire between the rollers. The exit roller shaft is cam-shaped; its position (and subsequent fretwire curvature) can be adjusted by loosening its knurled nut on the rear of the tool. Moving the roller upward will produce a greater degree of wire curvature.
4. Note that the fretwire should be reasonably straight before using the tool. The FretBender can add curvature to wire which has already been bent, but it cant unbend the wire. Cut the wire to final length AFTER bending.
