Scraper Burnisher

This tool is a great way to shorten the learning curve on burnishing a proper edge on your scrapers. It is such a simple idea and works great for me. I found the instructions to be clear and easy to follow and this made me go from really liking my scrapers to loving them.

As long as you know what you're doing, it works great. I recommend investing in some quality scrapers to get the finest smooth edge.

This is definitely the best tool for turning an edge on a scraper, it gives perfect, consistent results. However, I've always found that my scrapers perform best with a square edge, straight off the stone. If you like a micro-burr though, this is the tool for the job.

This is a pretty standard tool and works great. Make ABSOLUTELY sure your scraper face is true and flat. Otherwise it will not work correctly. Other than that have a blast with your super sharp scrapers

I've tried many styles but this one is the easiest and best for curved scrapers if you're into arch tops.

This simple tool makes scraping worth the while, because with sharp scrapers, one can achieve faster and cleaner results than those achieved by sanding or power sanding. The only con is the price, but you're not paying for the sharpening knowledge.

Sharpening a scraper was very tricky for me at first. It took a while for me to really get the hang of it but this little tool really helped out. I've tried many different tools and methods and this burnisher is one of the fastest and easiest to use. I've tried a traditional burnisher, an adjustable burnisher, the jig, and of course this one. For large rectangular scrapers I prefer the adjustable burnisher. For curved and small scrapers this one is by far the best. All in all this tool is very portable and it can handle all types of scrapers easily so it's definitely a good investment and I highly recommend it.
