I used it together with the little dremel router base thingy. It all went well on the front. The back had too much of an angle and a varying angle at that. Next time i'll get the bit and bearing kit and a binding tower together with a laminate router.
For the money, this is a great quality item to route binding on your project guitar. I've used it quite a bit and it is still sharp and cuts a clean channel. A must have for Dremel enthusiasts.

Bound two guitars using this bit. No issues just a clean cut every time
While it's a very nice and sharp bit, and I'm sure it works good on a flat surface, such as a guitar edge, it did not work as well on a arched (carved top and back) mandolin. Especially around the curves and points. I don't know what would though.
