I recieved my screw extractor kt from stew mac as I needed it to remove a broken screw from a bridge on an Epiphone Thunderbird bass,,,the screw had been broken at the factory site I'm sure.the kit worked really well for the most part but the small screw extractor had its bit ends chewed up badly by the broken screw...otherwise the kit performed as promised.thanks stew mac,,,I'll have to order another screw extractor to replace it on my next order to you...all my best, joe saunders, Red Rose Guitar Repair.

I had a broken off screw head on a screw that held a fixed bridge on my strat. I ordered this screw extractor and it worked like a charm and helped me get it out easily. It's really made for screws that are a tad smaller than the one I was dealing with, so when finished, I had a bit of a hard time getting the screw out out the extractor, but with a coat hanger and some patience, it eventually came out. I hope I don't have to use it again, but I kind of would look forward to at the same time!

A great tool set, the extractor and guide when used together made for an easy, quick and confident repair. From setup to insertion of the dowel took no more than 20 minutes. Excellent tool saves me from cobbling something together. Recommended!
