This swiveling aluminum jig maintains 35mm (1-3/8") hole spacing for guitar tuner string posts or classical machine rollers. Hardened bushings keep the holes straight, perfectly spaced and centered — you can use a hand drill!

Clamp the jig on any peghead from 1/2" to 1" thick. Use the supplied 13/32" (10.32mm) bit for classical machines, or the supplied bushings and letter "G" bit (0.261", 6.63mm) for steel-string tuners.

Tuning Machine Drill Jig

Not cheap but simple and easy to use, and accurate. If your making guitars regularly it's a good jig to have.

Well worth it!

There are times when an "expensive" jig is actually a great deal. This is certainly the case in this instance. If you need to fit three on a plate tuners for slotted pegheads you can either carefully layout, setup and use a drill press to get acceptable results or you can simply clamp on this jig and using your hand drill get PERFECT results with no drama.
