Amazing!

The Gripper saved my Telecaster. A professional guitar repair person told me the rounded truss rod adjustment nut couldn't be fixed and my only option was a new neck. I bought The Gripper and In 30 seconds could both tighten the rod and remove to rounded nut for replacement. Best money I ever spent.

Great design

If you have ever had to work behind someone who didn't use the right tool adjusting the truss rod, these tools can make you look like a hero. The only thing I wish is that a size indicator label was put on the handle, as most drivers have. Thanks Stewmac, great tool.

Gripper Truss Rod Wrench

A perfect tool for a stripped socket. Works just as well for an undamaged socket and one size fits slightly different sized sockets.

Gripper Truss Rod Wrenches

These wrenches did everything they said they would.I had 2 guitars that set around for a long time because of truss rod nut issues. As soon as I got these wrenches both guitars were back in action in 35 min.A must have tool if you have or work on guitars.

I don't know how it works, but it does!

The truss rod nut on my American Classic Strat is stripped thanks to the junky wrench included with the guitar. But, this Stew Mac wrench works perfectly, making the stripped nut seem fine! It's like magic! Buy one!

stripped out truss rod nut

old fender truss rod nut, hadn't been moved in years; 1/8 allen wrench rounded it out inside slightly; aaaarrghh! Read about Gripper wrenches on line, bought the 1/8th size. Cut back the tip till it was a tight fit, took off two of the guitars tuners(strat)to make room for the wrench's shaft; PERFECT. Really saved my bacon. Didnt have to take out the walnut plug etc. Couldnt have hoped for a better result.

Truss Nut Woes

Was setting up/cleaning a late '70s Jazz bass. Nearly finished the set up...when my allen wrench failed. Well, wasn't the Allen wrench that failed... I quickly ordered this along with a new bullet truss nut in 1/8" The first attempt didn't yield much more than my allen wrench. So I wound up gently tapping it in a bit to get a better bite and Voila!!!!! it came right out. Never EVER going to be without this...and will most likely order the rest of them

this should be the one to get...

I could see that the truss rod allen screw was starting to round out... this tool effortlessly allowed me to adjust the truss rod without stripping or slipping.

Highly recommended, if you need a truss rod wrench, get one of these.

Works as advertised

Used it on a stripped Epiphone truss the day I received it. Cannot imagine the cost of replacing the truss rod, so this little tool presents a good business case.
