Production inlay work, saddle slotting and purfling channel routing demand heavy-duty power and clean, close-tolerance accuracy. The Foredom flexible-shaft power tool and your Precision Router Base combine to meet the challenge.
All the power you need: The 1/6 hp Foredom SR motor is 33% more powerful than before, and it's reversible, too. Strong and steady, it delivers the torque you need for smooth routing in ebony and other hardwoods without bogging down. The motor includes a convenient foot control, for variable speeds up to 18,000 rpm while leaving your hands free to work.
A versatile match for lots of jobs: The one-of-a-kind Foredom handpiece is custom-threaded especially for our Precision Router Base. This versatile base allows fanatically accurate adjustment of routing depth, and also fits our unique jigs for bridge saddle slotting and soundhole rosette channels.
Easy control over your work: The flexible shaft design keeps the motor out of your way, for easy router base control and good work visibility. You can use the handpiece for freehand grinding and shaping, too. The motor hanger includes a convenient handpiece rest for when you're not working.
Specifications:
#5335 Foredom SR power tool is for domestic use. 115 volts AC, 60Hz, 1.7 amps. It has a U.S. standard Type B plug with two flat parallel prongs and a grounding pin.
#5336 Foredom SR power tool is for international use. 230 volts AC, 50Hz, 0.9 amps. It has international plug CEE 7/7 (compatible with Type E and F receptacles) with two round prongs and two grounding clips on the sides and female contact to accept the grounding pin.
Custom handpiece includes 1/8" and 3/32" collets to fit our router bits.
