Saddle Slot Files

An indispensable tool for anyone who does any undersaddle pickup work. I've wished I'd had this very tool many times in the past. Now I have two! I'm so glad StewMac came out with this. I used it after a pickup change out left some burrs in the newly drilled hole for the new wire and to level the bottom of the slot.

For saddle slots, it is fantastic, and
much easier to get a precise fit. I like them.

Work very well and saves routing which is a real pain. Good and flat saddle contact essential for optimum sound transer.

Does the job well,flatens & deepens the slots pretty much as described.

Great for acoustic / classic guitars bridges. Essential if you want to install under saddle piezo pickup over a real flat surface !!!

How many times have I messed around with a bunged up saddle slot that has glue residue or unevenness and wished that I had this exact tool? Man I love these.

After using various methods to level and clean saddle slots over the years, these designated files make short work of the job. I would recommend them to luthiers in repair shops.

This is a great idea given the many issues as to balanced sound for an under saddle piezo. Clearly, a level saddle slot is one component to ensure balanced sound. Sorry I didn't think of this myself.
