It gets the job done-but the brass bristles come loose easily, and it's really small.
It was smaller than I imagined and loses bristles easily. At this price I didn't think they would be an item I'd have to replace frequently. A little dissapointing.
If your going to use fret files,its the only thing small enough to clean them.Excellent tool.
Je l'utilise pour nettoyer mes limes fréquemment. Après nettoyage, les limes donnent mieux! Je trouve la taille plutôt bien adaptée contrairement à d'autres avis. Un plus dans sa caisse à outils.

I bought one of these years ago and eventually wore it out. It might seem a bit costly but trust me, this little gem is worth every penny. The brass fibers will not dull your file but they are strong enough to clean out some pretty hard gunk. TIP: slide the sleeve down one end until there's just the tips of the brush sticking out; the extra stiffness helps it work. I put mine in a vise and squeeze it to tighten its grip on the brass bristles. You won't believe how much better your file cuts when it's clean ;-)
It would be nice if this came in a set of two (including larger version also). It's a great way to keep files clean, but somewhat expensive for how small it is.
Well, I must say the quality of this brush is quite nice, but for the may I payed, I was expecting a bigger brush. It's about 42mm long
Expensive files work better when they are clean. This brush fits nicely into the crowning groove of your fret files. It makes no sense to NOT have one of these.
