Exactly the bit you need. I have two of these and use them in ebony all the time. Very clean cuts and keeps a sharp edge.
Five stars for these bits - nothing need more be said.
Building my first guitar, I hesitated on the price, then bought just two sizes. They cut so fast and cleanly they are worth every penny.
They produce a very clean cut whether used for inlay or bridge slots. A must have item.
1/16 is what I ordered and used in my dremel. Very nice cutting and clean on the bottom for inlay work.
juz kidding folks ;o)..these are sharp, tough and clean bits. pricey? yes..but it is highly recommended. nice packaging!
Not only do they work great for inlaying, but I use them for detail carving... best I've found!
I originally bought these bits to cut acoustic guitar bridge slots. Since then I've used them in dozens of other woodworking projects. They are strong for their size (I haven't broken one yet even in tough woods like Wenge) and they stay sharp!
Here's a Wenge, Padauk, and Purpleheart box I'm working on. The inlays are all brass.
Pricey? Yep, but a must. They will break before they dull.
I've used a number of different inlay bits over the years and these are far and away the best I've used. Well worth the money and very nice. The clean cut and precision have me hooked!
