Nice pickguard, great fit.
Got my new pickguard today, fast shipping and fits perfect, love the new look.
nice
Spiffy, clean, and shiny. It fits my Baja Tele just a bit. Not perfect but good. Just loosen some screws.
I am sending the pickguard back because I bought it to look like aged white plastic. The sales person indicated that it would be more aged white looking than green. It was too green. I don't understand why someone would use a slight green tint pickguard when trying to achieve and aged plastic look. Stew Mac stuff is high quality but this one missed the mark - why not offer a true aged look pickguard in an off white or light ivory color. I found a better color match from another supplier.
I chose not to use this as it has the 2 extra holes for the neck pickup. I prefer the traditional mount where the pickup is screwed into the body underneath the guard, not the Strat-style guard mount as Fender currently does on the current American Standard series Teles.
This is a really nice pickguard for a restoring touch, the color is nice, and the quality is very good. The only problem I had was that it was a little off on size. I was hard to fit on but I managed to screw it on. It is fine but don't expect a perfect fit.
This is a nice touch to add to the newer re-issues MIM Fender Tele's. They're making 'em better these days. You will need to thoroughly shield the cavity and back of pickguard. My Tele looks so much better w/out the 3-ply Bl/Wh/Bl. p-guard. However,it's the thickness that supplies the shielding. I have noticed the new ones now come shielded. I have the Ash body, vintage alnico noiseless pick-ups,Butterscotch blonde. It's a great guitar.(Pictured before p-guard change.)
I was displeased that no screws were provided, even the one from GFS came with screws for it. Be sure to order at least 5 screws with this.
I wanted an inexpensive, old school, black Telecaster pickguard, and this fit the bill. I installed it on a Squire and so it required a little bit of fitting but it looks great. Highly recommended.
