Gauged Nut Slotting Files

Very easy to use and saved me a ton of time. Last nut I cut with swiss files. Turned out good, but since I intend to build several more instruments, seemed like an easy purchase to justify. So much easier to fine tune the depths.

There is no substitute for having a quality tool to work with. Having tried using a cheap gas torch tip cleaner on previous projects, the StewMac Nut files are the only way to go. The control, ease and speed of task time is appreciated.

This tools definitely allows you to make the job in minutes and whit great results

I just received these Nut Files and I am sure they will do a great job, but I feel the thinner ones .010" to .20" need to have a stiffener added on either the sides or top to keep the file straight. The .010" is particularly 'bendy'.

I've used these files on bass guitars up to mandolins. They are easy to use, and have the perfect cross section for string fit. Gives a professional finish to the job.

A must have if you make your own nuts.

Well before purchasing the Gauged nut files. I thought I could get away with the rather expensive set of Italian feather files. Just shows you that the right tool makes things that much easier. The slotting files are excellent. Thanks again.

Perfect for this critical task, my favourite of any I've tried, and I've tried them all! If I could only have one set of nut slotting files, these would be it. I only wish they came in a complete set too!

ive got full set, perfect, wonderful i use standard string 010 , to 0.46 the nut look prefect after, they are realy sharp as well make you work as PRO : sometimes you need special tools to get the job done i love this files
