Replacing tuner knobs is a simple repair, we recommend these instructions to guide you.

Color-matching Cream Parts and Bindings
There have always been slight variations in the color of the cream plastic parts used on Gibson and other guitars. It's not uncommon to see brand new and vintage guitars with bindings, pickup rings, toggle switch rings and pickguards that don't perfectly match in color. We do our best to match all our cream products, but there's no absolute control from batch to batch, or from supplier to supplier.

Amazing little knobs!

I recently restored a Gibson LGO with 2 missing knobs, most local stores do not carry replacement knobs like these. So i didn't hesitate to order from Stew Mac. Adding them on was pretty simple, they fit great, they also pretty much are the same as the original ones! hey how cool is that?

get your knobs

Replaced my old archtop's white-ish, crusty raisin tuner knobs with new black beauties. Cleaned, oiled and polished the Klusons. After wire brushing the posts, I heated the posts with a small torch, and just hammered 'em on with a plastic hammer...took 10 minutes for all 6.

Vintage black knobs on Golden Age tuners

I fitted these to replace the standard white knobs on some "Golden Age" relic nickel tuners I recently bought for my Kalamazoo KG-14. The fit was such that no glue was needed - nice & tight so all I had to do was "squeeze" them on the shafts using a specially adapted small vice. Excellent, near perfect replacements.

vintage knobs

Beautiful stuff. Had to widen the holes a bit though but with care it worked fine.
