Schaller Replacement Knobs

My Larrivee P-10 MQ came with ebony Larrivee tuners and one broke. Larrivee no longer has them so I searched all over for replacements and came up empty. But I finally found a hit on the Internet that said the Sheller tuners worked perfectly for my Larrivee. I ordered a set and must say they are an exact replacement in fit and color. I really like the ebony buttons more than the standard chrome buttons and Larriee no longer offers the ebony so I am greatfull that I found these. On some Larrivee models you will have to remove the tapered collar that the old keys fit but you just slide it off to expose the acutal shaft.

I've used both the small and larger button versions of these on my Paul Reed Smith's and they work great. My only complaint, that I've expressed to Stew Mac several times, is that the ebony set comes with gold screws. I have no idea why this is the default so I typically use the stock chrome screws. I wish they would include black screws with the ebony.

Installed on PRS phase 2 machines,looks great. Wish they would offer a bone material.

My natural finish, ash body American Standard Telecaster is beautiful with these black volume, tone and tuner knobs (both from STEW-MAC).

These replacement tuner knobs completed the black/chrome trim-out of my guitar. The switch tip and pickguard were already black so, replacing the chrome control and tuner knobs with high quality black parts resulted in a tastefully customized instrument.

I was concerned that the tuner knobs may not fit on Fender's standard American tuners, but one of the reviews (by a Fender owner who had also used them) allayed my concern.

Thanks again STEW-MAC for great parts at a great price. And, your return policy served me well when I first ordered the wrong volume and tone knobs (6mm instead of 1/4").

I love my Schaller locking tuners but didn't really care for the standard chrome buttons. Easy installation on my Voyage-Air VAOM-04.

I've attached a picture showing the guitar with one side upgraded and the other stock. To my eye, the ebony buttons are an improvement. As you can see in the picture, my dog seems to agree.

I have a 1997 Ovation Collector's Edition. Parlor size, slot head, strange touch-sensitive volume control inlaid in the body. Unfortunately, the tuner knobs all started to decay at about the same time, and Stew Mac's catalog had these replacements that worked perfectly.

These are a perfect button for Fender guitars. I put a set of these on my Strat, and a set on my Tele. GREAT!

Look great. The effect a small weight reduction has on the end of a long lever (neck) is dramatic. If they fit your style, worth the cost for both the physical and aesthetic results.
