Individual Inlay Blanks

The gold and white blanks I ordered were great, but one of the abalone blanks had some heavy pitting and color variation that would require some heavy sanding to remove. Considering I ordered 2 sets of the 3 pack and the all came in 1 tiny sealed bag I'm sure someone had to have seen the piece and decided to send it to me anyway.

I bought a set of ten gold inlays and cut them out on a laser cutter. Some turned out well, but some were ruined because it seems the size of the inlays is actually about 1 1/128", which makes a difference in precision machining. I ordered ten more, and some were very brittle and snapped very easily. I am still debating shelling out $40 more for another set. All in all though, they look very nice and will turn out well if you handle them with care.

I always receive consistant quality with your inlay material and this saves me work. I know I must be getting the good stuff from your secret stash. Thanks stewmac.

A little pricey, but worth it. Very nice quality, perfectly flat. Thick enough that it wont break on you very easily.

i'm really new to the art of inlay but i love this stuff. bought some of each and went back to buy another ounce of white pearl. consistent width and beautiful "grain". i would suggest it to anyone.
