Too short for bridge pup. Should be at least 3/4". #2 size is a wee bit too small for Epi. A #4 should also be offered.
I needed the long screws from a 50's LP ... these are perfect for modern rings
Pretty much like any other imported item... You get what you pay for, but it's nice having an outlet for the little things that can make a project move along better...
I recently purchased some of the black humbucker mounting ring screws and they were a little disappointing, they were too short for the bridge pickup and the heads are flat and shallow, so they disappeared down the hole a little, ie the head needs to be a bit bigger, and maybe even slightly rounded as opposed to dead flat, also the powdercoating could be satin vs matt. I Ended up buying some in various available lengths from a local luthier supplier, sorry StewMac, most of your stuff is good, these need reviewing by you.
Awesome price but I have the hardest time trying not to strip the heads when installing
You guys stock hard to find stuff and handled my orders like I was you're best customer. Even though the orders were small, they arrived before they're ETA.
These screws fit great and look good (gold), but I somehow stripped (not bad, just doesn't look perfect anymore and might make removal and re-install difficult) two of them during the install. This seemed a bit fast, but they're cheap so I just ordered a few new ones with my next order. I guess just grab a few extra in the future.
They are a little small and too short.
These screws will do the job, however I feel that they do not give a fit and finished look, and do not complement other stewmac hardware. They are also VERY easy to strip out, even with a good screwdriver.
Nice screws, good plating, the heads dont strip out very easily. Great for rings.
