I use these on all the "Telecasters" I build and they work grest.
I am no luthier, let me tell you. I am attempting my first Tele parts-o-caster and I had no problem installing these ferrules in a MIM body. I just tapped them in with a hammer and a wood block. Easy peasy. They look great and I highly recommend them!
They look and feel well made. Use a drill press to drill the through the body holes (1/8"). The spacing is very tight. Set your drill depth or use tape on your bit, to drill the bottom pockets. The ferrules are pretty tight. Press them in or use a block of soft dowel wood and tap them in with a light hammer, carefully. They seat really well and the course ribs hold them in place. I think I will use the flush mount next time. Great products, Stew-Mac!
They fit nice an tight on my tele project, great ferrules !!
Well made looks like they will stand up good, fit is really well with a little tap or two on a wooden block to keep from damaging the ferrules. Thanks again
Great quality, size identical to specs, compare exactly to factory look and weight.
It's a great product! Installation and prep is a straightforward process. Ferrules stay tight! I recommend this to everyone. It's a bit expensive to order it to Poland ;) but along with some other stuff - it was worth it!
They sit in the holes very well.
These work great. These are the 173's.
A little pricey, but these are good ferrules.
