Five-Star Flathead Tone Ring

The Mastertone-style 20-hole flathead design favored by bluegrass players since the 1940s. Machined from cast bell-bronze alloy to pre-war dimensions, it gives a deep crisp powerful tone when the instrument is played at lower frets, with great clarity at higher positions. 11" diameter, nickel-plated.

A high crown or medium crown banjo head is usually required for this tone ring.
