StewMac Brush-on Super Glue

I use super glue as a finish on spalted pecan, maple and buckeye burl for ink pens. Regular super glue crystalizes when sprayed with activator while wet and still on the lathe. This stuff does not. With 5 to 6 coats this is a tremendous time saver. Final coats dry naturally to a very nice finish that I buff with micromesh 1500 up to 12000. Oh, the brush is great but even the smallest amount of activator will ruin it in a heartbeat so I make sure that the activator is gone before I put another coat on.

This glue is good but not great. I found that it was not that great for fixing dents in the guitars finih but isn't that bad of a bonding agent.

I have found that this is an ideal way to use StewMac super glues. It allows careful guidance of the glue and it dries exactly as StewMac says it will. I filled a couple of dings in the face of my 1962 Gibson SG and it worked perfect for me.

Perfect! I've tried all 3 of the glues and they are all great. I have tried more super glues than I can count. None are as good. Good price.

Stew Mac Brush on is far superior to other brands that I have used. It repairs dings in lacquer finishes flawlessly. I use it for gluing the bindings and purfling on because of its superior holding power and set speed. It makes installing them seem effortless and gives you more control over the final outcome.

Great stuff...bought for drop fill repairs to a poly finish which I haven't done yet but have used it to file bone nut slots with bone dust and super glue to re-file to slot and it works great, I've tried this before with major brand super glue but it was too thick. I imagine this would work even better with the thinner super glue stewmac makes. Another great Stewmac product!

I thought I would really like to use this product but when I opened the sealed package, the glue was all over. You'd think stew mac would tape the twist top to prevent it from opening in shipment.
