Neck Support Caul

I could have made it myself but at this price, I didn't bother. Nice stuff :)

Useful for pressing frets, or as a neck rest when held in a bench vise. Well worth the price.

I use this caul to support fender-style necks (frets down) while I drill and install 4 threaded inserts into the heels. This allows the use of MUCH stronger machine screws to bolt down necks instead of the typical weaker-holding wood screws.

I use a soft clamp to keep the neck from moving and it works okay. You do have to place the fingerboard's sides just right in the caul in order to balance each neck, but it does work.

I wish the caul was designed better to use in this upside down way, but for low money, who could complain?

I'm sure it works perfectly when using as it was intended for doing fret work but if you're you're drilling heels, it's a decent low-cost holder.

I needed something to use to support the neck of my bass as I attached the fingerboard after working on the truss rod. This caul worked perfectly.

excellent for the money!! although i would like to see one with a thicker base so i could use it on my bench a little better... i have mine currently glued to a piece of 1" thick maple to cover the height i needed..still a great tool modified or stock

good support for any standard neck maintenance.
Just add a few layers of danish oil or simmilar to protect the bare wood before putting it to use

good, however the wood would be appropriated to be fixed
