I highly recommend the clear lacquer for touch ups, it blends in and levels nicely and, polishes to a great shine as well.
Good color selection but pens are not as good as the Gibson Nitro markers (no longer sold). Wish real nitro flowed from the colored pens. Color is a bit weak for some cover up work, so a few coats might need to be applied. Still, these are the best touch-up pens avail currently.
I've used lacquer pens in my shop when I was in the US but couldn't get them shipped across the border when I moved to Canada. I wanted them so bad that I ordered some and brought them with me on my next trip down and back. These have so many uses, I use them several times a week.
These touchup markers work great for my relic projects. Sure beats excess over spray & sanding just to get the area you want to touchup.
I have several Gibson SG's. Some old some new. I noticed that the Nitro was worn away from where they had been hanging on their wall hangers. The Cherry Red marker matched perfectly!! Since the markers have nitro in them, I just used some 3600 polishing pads and they look better that new. I also got the black and the red mahogany. Great product.
I used this touch up pen to fill a scratch on my PRS McCarty. Worked fine.My only complaint is that the tip messed up,pushed in after light use.
