High gloss finishes without swirl marks
Fits variable-speed hand drills

Your finishes can have a more professional look when you use these fiber-free foam buffing pads. They're perfect for applying polishing compounds with your power buffer or variable-speed hand drill.

Foam polishing pads are perfect for applying polishing compounds, like our ColorTone Polishing Compounds. The gentle polishing action helps avoid swirl marks, fine scratches and burn-through, leaving a beautiful mirror-gloss surface.

For the small shop or casual builder, this is a great way to get factory-quality finishes without tedious hand polishing or expensive buffing equipment. Larger well-equipped shops find foam pads handy for getting into tight areas for fast spot refinishing, too. Each pad has a 1/4" arbor—you can use it in a drill press or variable-speed hand drill.

"Hourglass and cone-shaped pads are great for getting into guitar cutaways and hard-to-reach contours. I find a use for them all!"
—Erick Coleman, repairman and StewMac tech advisor

Important: A separate pad should be used for each grade of polishing compound, to avoid adding scratches to the finish. Apply the compounds in sequence, from coarse to fine grades.

Cant afford a real guitar buffer yet so....

These work pretty good. My only complaint is that they are quite expensive for a simple foam pad but since you cant get anything like this anywhere else I guess its alright. Theyll get dirty but are easy to rinse out cause they are pretty much a tough sponge. I prefer to use them in my drill press rather than on a drill cause you get more control. Used with StewMac polishing compounds and they are great!

Best large area polisher on the market

This is a great way to polish large areas and blend into existing finishes and do no damage. It can be used with all compounds, is quick and cleans up easily. Should have a few of these in the shop.

Time Saver

This has saved my joints a lot of pain. I used to do a lot of hand work not now. When I first started I got one and washed it between compounds (I am sure they are going OMG) not the way you should use them but I got lucky I guess never had any problems. Now I have one for each lol. Stew Mac comes thru again.

Does the job!

Even though I have the awesome new Stew-Mac buffing arbor, I still use these guys all the time for smaller jobs on guitars with minor finish issues. Customers are always wowed when they see them in action on their guitars!
