Could be better

Used this kit to restore an old SG Custom. Fairly impressed with the components, however, there is defiantly room for improvement. The switch seems a touch flimsy, however, for the cost its a worthwhile trade

Very Good Wiring kit.

Great wiring kit for the price. Nice quality cable and the Switchcraft jack socket is a real bonus. The pots and switch are a little on the cheap side and some other cap options would be nice. But on the whole really good value for money.

Good kit for the price

This kit had everything I needed to rewire my Tele Deluxe, save for one small issue - not enough wire. I'm sure on an SG that isn't a problem at all as the selector switch is near the rest of the pots. Good kit though.

Great for the price

Pots are great and works on Japanese, Korean, French, guitars

Switch is a little cheap (do the job but soldering slug would be better thicker)and I would have liked an amber knob.

I don't like the vintage layout that is proposed because in my case I don't have enough space put put the cap between tone and volume pots.

Wiring kit is great.

Good product for the price proposed

SG Wiring kit-used in '74 Guild bass "restore"

I used the kit for a beat to death Guild bass. It was an SG style bass so the kit was perfect. The Alternate wiring for independent volume and tone for each pickup was easy and sounds great! Great Kit,Great Price-What else could you want?

sg wiring

I purchased this wiring for my epiphone special model which is like the cheapest model of epiphone. It originally had one volume control and one tone control and the pickup selector switch. So i had to cut out the body of the guitar to make room for the four pots and bigger switch that came with the kit. Most people would probable buy this kit for a guitar that had similar wiring to begin with so most wont have to cut out the guitar body like i did. I found the instruction easy to follow tho i have experience with wiring diagrams and a lot of soldering experience. I only took me a couple hours from start to finish. And I'm very happy with the sound . I wired it the alternate way that came with the instructions so i can control the volume of the pickups independently when the switch is in the middle position. I made the plate out of hardboard and aluminum tape but will soon make a plate of the same pattern out of polished sheet aluminum.
