I'm very happy with this product. Its a little higher priced than I might like, but its well worth it. Its good quality and is easy to deal with on a neat little spool than just loose wire.
Having wired many guitars I am now wondering why I didn't invest in this wire sooner. High quality and easy to use. That's all you need.
This type of wire is expensive in England £4.65 per 16 inches. So if you're like me you use a lot of it buying in bulk is much cheaper. I used this to re wire a les paul and its so easy to use just push back the cloth, hold it back with a crock clip, solder the connection and pull back the cloth. Hay presto one neat finished piece of soldering.
I strongly urge you to buy this product its fantastic and you get the vibe of the early vintage guitars to boot
I keep all four on my bench. I love not only the ease of use but the look of the finished work as well. Sure no one sees it once you close it up but knowing how solid the job is feels like the guitar is truly custom wired. Because it is! Not having to strip and tin wire is well worth the price of admission. Trust me you will not find a better product for the price. I always look before I leap. So leap!
I bought this to rewire my guitar and I was amazed at how much easier it is to solder than the regular rubber insulated wire. You don't have to worry about melting the insulation, and there's no striping so there's less to cleanup. In combination with a wiring kit this made my squier sound more like a fender. I will only rewire with the pushback wire from now on.
I build wiring harnesses for guitars and it's the only wire I use.
I've tried others, but they just don't compare.
Only minus is the price has increased almost 25% in the last few years.
I use this stuff all the time
