Knob Puller

The StewMac Knob Puller works well and does what it is supposed to do: remove knobs without scratching the guitar or pickguard surface. Not much else to say about that.

I like it but it's better to use a micro fiber cloth below it (if it will fit). I was worried about scratching the nitro finish on my Les Paul but with micro fiber below it, it wasn't an issue

It's only plastic - it should be MUCH less expensive.

Works better than a rag and priced right. Use care with archtops, I'll likely glue some felt to the base to protect finish, for peace of mind if nothing else.

Low cost, very useful tool. This is one of the "must have" tools for every player.

Removed a set of speed knobs in nothing flat. It's already paid for itself.

Removes even the most stubborn knobs. I wish every tool worked this well !!!

Broke at the top the 2nd time I used it. I've been a luthier for 35 years so I'm familiar with guitar tools. Metal with plastic feet would have been a better idea. I won't buy another but I can make a better one.

as someone mentioned earlier, no instructions, you have to be smarter than the tool. trying to figure it out, i actually did break the 'horseshoe' at the top of the piece. that being said, once i figured it out, i was easily able to remove all knobs, even with the main piece broken. latest project, switching the cream knobs from a Gibson Midtown P-90 to replace them with black knobs.
