250K vs. 500K
Generally, 500K-ohm pots are used with humbuckers and 250Ks are used with single-coil pickups. 25K pots are used for active systems.

You can use any value you like, but a 250K will give a slightly warmer tone than a 500K pot. The 250K pot bleeds off some of the high frequencies to ground. A 1 Meg-ohm pot bleeds off even less than a 500K pot, so if you want to hear your guitar "wide open" you may want to try one.

1-meg pots are also ideal for piezo pickups, as the ultra high impedance piezo element is more adversely effected by conventional, lower-value pots than magnetic pickups.

We also have a full line of control pots for non-active circuitry. Extra mounting nuts and lock washers are also available.

Nifty little unit

I've used them as coil splitters, bridge pickup-on for Strats, and for a Jimmy Page wiring set up on the SG in the photo. Very versatile units. Out on 10 units I've used, one was very noisy in operation.I sprayed Switch cleaner into it and the problem was solved,.

Great pots

Good, strong, durable push-pull pots. Worth the money (especially when local shops charge $25 per.) Compared to my old push-pull pots these feel a lot more robust. I especially love that the shafts are just a little bit longer than others, therefore giving me space to get my fingertips under the knobs to pull up. My old pots made the knobs flush with the guitar body, forcing me to stick my finger nails under to pull, but these give an extra fraction of an inch to get my fingertips under. Very nice.

Great push/pull

My order shipped same day I ordered, and arrived the next! Awesome! The push/pull switch worked fine, but the pot was bad. Contacted stew-mac, and there is a new one on the way right now. Seems durable, and a good item for the price.

Push pull pots

Works great. I have used these on several project guitars to tap coils on 4 wire humbuckers. Its a great way to add variety to your sound.

They do the job!

I bought these to change my pickup wiring in my Gibson Les Paul Classic to Jimmy Page style wiring. The push pull pots are perfect for the job. Nice and easy.
