It Works.

I installed this mic in a friends dobro, I had no problems with the installation but it takes a lot of trial and error locating the mic to get the best sound. Sounds ok but it does get feedback when trying to increase the volume. I tried the lace single coil pick-up first. It had a better sound but it hummed and buzzed to much. There's not much available for dobros that works really good and is affordable.

Great Value, if you don't play percussively

This mic is a great deal. Besides this, the cheapest internal mic (with adjustable gooseneck)for acoustic guitar may be fishman's blender and highlander's IP2, both of them are around 180$. So with only 49$, this is a real great deal. Much better than any soundboard pickups. But there is a shortcut: the excessively long gooseneck (compared to fishman and highlander) will easily SHAKE when you play some percussive style on the guitar, like hitting the body as a drum, making some very noticeable SHAKING SOUND, and it's really annoying. I don't know how to get rid of the shaking noise. The only way I guessed is to anchor the mic head with wire or something, but I never tried it. So for now, I think it is great for delicate fingerstyle play rather than percussive, heavy-strum play.
