Fishman Ellipse Aura
Fishman's revolutionary onboard preamp/pickup system is a giant step toward bringing studio quality sound to the stage. Digital “Acoustic Images” for your guitar are downloaded from your computer and stored in the preamp. Fishman has created these sophisticated image files using the sound of a guitar similar to your own, played through a high quality studio mic under actual recording conditions. Within the preamp, the image file instantly adjusts the frequency and timing of the undersaddle pickup's output as you play, to match the response characteristics of the studio mic. The sound improvement is astonishing!

...plus the freedom of movement and feedback resistance that a pickup gives you on stage.
The software: A variety of Acoustic Image files to match your guitar can be downloaded from Fishman's website to the onboard preamp, using the supplied CD and USB cable. Windows XP required.
The undersaddle pickup: The Ellipse Aura includes Fishman's Acoustic Matrix undersaddle transducer. It senses the vibration of the entire bridge saddle for balanced output, and is designed for string spacings up to 2-1/2" (63.50mm).
The onboard preamp: Installation inside the soundhole edge is easy, with no drilling. The preamp fits 3-7/8" (98.43mm) to 4-1/8" (104.77mm) diameter round soundholes. All functions are designed for convenient fingertip control in a natural playing position. These include pickup/image blend and volume sliders, plus switchable Natural I (boosted bass) and Natural II (flatter) tone shaping. Feedback can be suppressed by the phase switch and the ingenious automatic "search and destroy" notch filter.
9-volt battery required. No-drill mesh battery bag, prewired 1/4" endpin jack with nickel and gold buttons, and usage instructions are included. Professional installation is recommended.
