I try to keep a handfull of these on hand so when I need one it's there. They work so much better than the springs out of an old ball-point pen!
Good strong spring.
Worked as expected - I ordered a few extra.
Making a custom project guitar, and using single-coil pickups (no-name cheapies in case of accidents) which came with no springs (made for direct mounting to the back of the pick-up cavity). Got some of the single-coil pickup rings and screws, and jammed these springs in between and they serve their purpose perfectly!
Works as it should. No rattling and the pickups didn't tilt weird. It's a simple part and it works properly. Great price too!

I was replacing pickups in a guitar in which the pickups screw into the routs rather than screwing to a pick guard. I bought these springs hoping they would help hold the pickups up off the floor of the rout and keep them level, but they did neither adequately. I do not know if there are different sorts of springs for different purposes, but I ended up buying pickup sponge supports that were advertised (elsewhere) as being for similar use with bass pickups, and they worked much better for the purpose, even in my guitar. I gave 3 stars because the quality of the springs was okay, and I presume they must be useful in some guitars. They were cheap enough that it made no sense to pay shipping fees to return them.
