L.R. Baggs iBeam Transducer

This was installed this on a Martin D-15M. I wanted a pickup that would reproduce the rich mahogany sounds without altering the visual appearance of the guitar. This definitely did the trick. It is extremely light, almost unbelievably so, and does not alter the vibrations of the soundboard enough to change its tone.

It absolutely must be paired with a good acoustic pre-amp. I tested this with an acoustic amp with built-in pre-, but it was horribly weak sounding. I paired it with the LR Baggs Gigpro and the guitar came to life through an amp.

Installation is extremely easy and the mounting jig provided worked fantastically.

This is my first L.R. Baggs iBeam installation. I put it in a relatively thin line flat top guitar that I built...Wow! Brilliant highs and deep lows. This guitar has come to life in a big way. I highly recommend the iBeam.

I needed a pick up for my Maton acoustic guitar that was going to faithfully reproduce it's acoustic tones and was easy enough for an amateur luthier to install. Got all that! Installed without problem and sounds as sweet as the natural instrument.
