Nice part, but....

Nice quality part but did not work. Contact blades needed to be adjusted. After adjustment worked fine.

Its a switch.

One of the better switches I have tried. It works as a switch should. Only thing is it is a bit plain jane for a really speccy build....

Update to my previous review

I applied some teflon grease to my switch and after a couple weeks "break in" the switch has become much more smooth. I'm pleased with the functionality and in most cases (where this would be the only switch) the appearance change would be trivial. In my application the difference is more obvious because I also have an original Gibson switch on the same guitar.

Does the job

Some key points first: it is metric so Gibson parts are not interchangeable (nut, tip, etc.). Mechanically the one I got is quite stiff not smooth at all (hopefully it will smooth out with age). I installed in a Gibson ES-347 which has an additional full size "tap" switch on the upper bout. I replaced it with this one and used it as an on/on/on DPDT (as mentioned in the instructions) to have series/parallel/split wiring on my neck pickup. It does not match the Gibson pickup selector switch very well in look or feel. It does however do the job, and I'm not sure there are any better options out there...

Great 3-Way Switch

I replaced the old, broken 3-way, toggle on my Gibson Flying V with this right angle switch. Works and sounds perfect. Very happy with it.
Comes with white and black knobs.

Does the job very well

No static when switching, fast response and a great feel. Don't forget how important it is to have a good switch. This one does not add any scratchy sounds. It was easy to wire. My only gripe...is that it'd be nice to have an option for an all black one.

Great Stewmac switch for Flying V-type guitars

Why buying a stewmac switch? Because they are made for heavy use.

works great if you have a 3 p/u FirebirdVII or 3-p/u SG/LesPaul Custom!!!!

Perfect for the Firebird VII or SG/Les Paul Custom 3 p/u electrics. Instructions are a big help as this switch has extra wafer lugs, compared to the normal right angle 3 way ( 2 p/u) switch.

Great switch for a thin body

I have used this switch, plus the gold version, on the SG-style guitars I have built. It's a great switch, sturdy, and easy to solder. Works great!
