Brilliant product!

Awesome switch! Very easy to install, comes with Stewmac's wiring guidelines. I put it into my Ibanez RGA121 and I'm extremly happy with that especially 2nd and 4th position. Switch itself seems to be bulletproof so I believe it will last while longer than other stuff you can get. I'm getting another one for my second axe now :) Thank you Stewmac!

Exactly what you'd expect

Quality hardware. Easy to work with. Great price. Quick shipping. I put it in a severely modified Ibanez RG7321 and it is fantastic. Nice and smooth.

Really good switch

Feels and looks solid. The instructions are very easy to follow. I used one for a custom project with coil tapping (see pic). I had to slightly file the (tele style) cover plate slot for it to fit through.

Adds some tone-options

The switch is well-made and I like the feel of switching to each position. I makes a solid "click" to each position for reliable pickup changes on stage.

There can be a huge volume-difference going from series to parallel positions depending on the pickups you are using. In some cases, I've actually gone back to a 3-way switch.

This is not the fault of the switch, but rather the choice of pickups so you just need to decide if the wiring is right for you.

Excellent but...

I installed this into a double humbucker telecaster for a custom build last night and I was quite displeased when the control plate would not align right, and was pulling to the side. Due to the pc board's rectangular nature and it being off center to the switch, it hits the wall on the round of the control area and needs to swing into the center point of the round. Now I'll have to rout out part of the control area and hope I don't butcher it's appearance or scratch the finish (the finish has already been put on).
The switch has otherwise smooth action and would otherwise receive 5 stars, but I'm a bit disappointed that the designers of this switch did not take into account the layout within a control plate, or make it round like the vintage switches. On a Strat I'm sure this is not an issue as there is clearance around the switch, but for Tele's where the control plate dictates it's position, it is an issue and may require moving your screw holes or worsecase routing.

Solid and reliable

I've been using these switches for some time now, including one I've had in my main guitar for four years now. Sounds great and no noise, though I did have some issues a while ago. It started cutting out in a couple of positions. There is a screw that holds the body of the switch together and it had come loose, making the connections less secure. Tightened it back up and all is well. Just a little maintenance tip in case you get one.

Solid Switch

Solid switch does what it s susposed to do. The combinations can cause a bit of volume spikes as you move from parallel to series to reg humbuckers tone.
Wired this up with a set of Duncan distorsion which worked quite well for me.

Noiseless!

Strong construction, plenty of space to solder, and absolutly noiseless when changing positions. The P-model allows you to get really attractive coil combinations whith humbuckers.
