Speed Knob

Nice, high quality knobs. Sometimes it's a tight fit getting these all the way onto the pot shaft. To minimize the required push force, I soak the knob in HOT water for two minutes, then quickly push it onto the pot shaft. It makes installation much easier. To remove stubborn knobs, I apply heat directly to the knob with a hair dryer for 2 minutes, placing cardboard under the knob to protect the guitar finish. Pulls right off easily.

These knobs were a great upgrade for a kit build i did. They immediately stood out in amber on the two tone sunburst, and are a cheap way to improve any look over stock knobs. Perfect fit, not too tight but easy to remove if needed.

Not a great fit to the pots...

Clearly marked course or fine knurled so you get the correct ones. If you're buying these for pots your purchased here, then get the course knurl knobs for proper pot fit.

Although I ordered these knobs for a new build I still wanted them to match what was on a Gibson. They do this, however they are coarse splines and Gibson uses fine splines... no real problem here, I'm also using StewMac's Alpha pots so the match is perfect!

I received my new knobs in a a very timely manner, as with all of my Stew-Mac purchases. I installed them on my PRS McCarty. The McCarty tone and volume pot splines are different from each other. The knob fit the push/pull tone knob perfectly but there are finer splines on the volume control. No problem. I took a drill bit the same diameter of the opening and drilled it out. Fits great!
